This past weekend, our Southern Soul family showed up big time for our Gis for Growth Yard Sale — and wow, are our hearts full!
Thanks to the generosity, hard work, and community spirit of everyone who donated, shopped, spread the word, and volunteered, we raised nearly $750 to support Gis for Growth! Every single penny will go toward providing gis and training scholarships to kids in need — helping break down barriers and making sure everyone has the chance to step on the mats and experience the magic of Jiu Jitsu. 🌱💙
It was a beautiful reminder of what Southern Soul is really about: community, heart, and lifting each other up. From the volunteers who spent their Saturday setting up tables and sorting donations, to the families who stopped by to browse and share a smile — every act of kindness added up to something truly powerful.
At Gis for Growth, we believe that a gi is more than just a uniform. It’s an opportunity. It’s a chance for a child to build confidence, learn resilience, and find a second home on the mats. It’s a doorway into discipline, perseverance, and self-belief — values that will serve them for a lifetime.
This event was another step toward that dream, and it couldn’t have happened without YOU.
